The Indy game lost my interest. I wanted Indiana Nathan Drake Jones instead. 1st person and the run speed did not suit the IP IMHO. Cancelled GamePass and bought a lot of cheap games in the Xbox Sale.

Ploughing on with the rather excellent @motorsport.forza.net 8 - to think we came from Namco's "Pole Position" or Geoff Crammond's "Revs" to arrive at this. Feels like a real "Tomorrow's World" moment. Be interesting to see if it arrives on PlayStation. I much prefer it to Grab Turismo.

Just completed the excellent BF3 on the good old Xbox 360. Some great moments!

My wife passed away yesterday in the early morning hours. So many messages from all over the World.

My wife fights to the end. She is a warrior but this IS as hard as you could imagine.

Her last played song on Spotify is Love Is A Battlefield by Pat Benetar. She knows I love Eighties music. She continues to teach me.

She told her Dr and Nurse I am never giving up. And if I go down I will die fighting on the battlefield.

Oh and Fuck Cancer. It can just Fuck The Fuck Off.

Her favourite games are Mario 2 on the NES and that.awesome.Konami.Simpsons.coin op. And Piyotama on PS3 a weird chicken game. Wherever we went she indulged me in letting me play some battered old coin op

A week ago I was told suddenly before breakfast that my wife is dying now. They told me 48hrs. Most difficult time ever. She is still here. Still fighting. She is a Warrior.

"Virtua Racing" arrived in the UK in 1993. I used to walk three miles to a snooker club which had a sit down cabinet. A pound a go. Even had to pay to join the Club just to get in. (I dont play snooker!) I would watch the Attract Mode for ages. The 32X version is solid and I still go back to it.

#SteamDeckDelights - last night was "OutRun" but on PC Engine and then "Pinball Fantasies" on the Atari Jaguar. This morning "New Star GP" - a pleasing F1 game with that lovely polygonal look of SEGA'S incredible "Virtua Racing" coin-op.

This mag cover from 1989 was really exciting to me. "Play The Film" was this distant idea I used to daydream about whilst doing my A-Levels. Yesterday I fired up the Xbox Indiana Jones game. The opening level made me think back to this old ACE magazine cover.

My morning routine now features a quick Lap in Forza 8 and its excellent Rivals Mode. The alternate Track Layouts are great. And you quickly get invested in Levelling Up your car.

Tackling a Track per day. Some of the alternate layouts are testing. It feels satisfying when you run a Clean Lap

40 years ago today I rode my BMX 30mins to rent x2 VHS from a video shop. Played Moon Cresta in Circle K next to video shop. Got some sweets and two 30p SuperCans of Coke. Rode home. Gave one of the SuperCans to my Dad. It felt like a big moment.
