This is an obvious situation where taking a lane from cars is warranted. There’s space for a bus queue jump lane on both sides of the bridge. The radical idea would be to remove the connection to the bridge from Memorial (and turns from Comm Ave), which would cut down on traffic immensely.

The irony here is that higher fuel standards shift more of the cost into the purchase price of the vehicle, which is something of a fixed cost, and less into the variable costs to purchase gas. In this way, higher fuel standards encourage more driving (for people that own cars at least).

The irony is this is also what gerrymandering looks like in blue states with blue cities. Only solution to gerrymandering is proportional representation.
