In Renk, a border town in South Sudan, where up to 1,000 people are arriving from Sudan every day, Oxfam is being forced to scale down its operations by 70 per cent over the next month. Unless new funding is secured by February, Oxfam will have to shut down its operations there entirely.

Monica from Timor-Leste joyously shows her water spinach crop. She lost her entire home, including all her savings, her crops, and her livestock in a massive flood in 2021. Oxfam's work in her area helped her rebuild after the flood, and learn new climate-smart agricultural techniques.

Today we’re holding the people and communities around the world who lead with care and courage in our thoughts. Wishing you a peaceful holiday wherever you are.

As we close out the year, we’re grateful for the people and movements pushing for justice, even in challenging times. Sending warm wishes for a restful holiday season and renewed strength for the year ahead.
