During Women’s Health Week, I’m reflecting on how important it is for women & families to have available & quality OB/GYN care… how important it is to protect women’s access to birth control… And how important it is to protect IVF for families, because three of my kids came via IVF.

Numbers can tell a story. And these numbers prove that momentum is building in D25. In 2024, Stoner earned 1,747 primary votes. In 2026, that number jumped to 4,178 votes, more than doubling her support. When there is a 10% increase in voter participation it means that voters are paying attention.

Progress for women didn’t happen all at once, and it certainly didn’t happen that long ago. (I won’t list the year I was born - wink, wink). From the right to vote to the right to open a bank account, generations of women fought for freedoms many of us now take for granted. Our story isn’t over.

Over 300K Hoosiers voted during the first 12 days of early voting in ‘24. This is the same amount of time that the Republican supermajority proposed cutting from the early voting window in the Midterms. Thanks to your persistence, that bill did not pass and 28 days of early voting will remain.

Childcare is a challenge across the US but states are choosing different paths. Here in Utah, the focus is on putting families first by encouraging employers, supporting childcare workers, and growing capacity. It’s a reminder that while this is a national issue, state leadership really matters.

The Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce's State of the Town luncheon was informative, highlighting the town's achievements. However, the passage of SEA 1 poses significant challenges in Brownsburg too that leadership is bracing for in the next few years, including a $20M deficit.

It was a meaningful day at the Statehouse as Senator JD Ford was celebrated for his retirement.
