Xmas always makes me think of the crumpled list my mom carried in her wallet for like 30 yrs that had our clothing/shoe sizes and favorite colors. That's why I hate the Santa myth. It erases not just labor but also the *care* that so many parents (usually moms) expend meeting their kids' needs.

I think there are 2 kinds of #cozygames. One is a laid back gaming experience--no combat, timed tasks, dying, etc. The other has a "cozy" aesthetic (YMMV) but is otherwise stressful to play. This 2nd type is often some sort of capitalist hellscape hiding behind all the kittens and yarn balls.

Called county health dept today to schedule family's covid boosters--we've gotten them in fall without any issue for 4 yrs. Was told they don't have covid/flu shots available, haven't received guidelines on distribution, but expect we'll no longer be allowed even paying out of pocket. I'm livid.
