Still digesting the sacking of The Hoff and Glen today, I’ve not been so shocked by an NCFC sacking for a long time. Performances and results have been going the wrong way but there have been a lot of mitigating circumstances this season and this was supposed to be a ‘project’.

I’ve been writing for the NCFC programme again this year, this time about some of the most memorable games of the 90s. I really enjoyed writing this one, about Europe and the joy of ‘firsts’ in football.

We are delighted to be receiving support from the Office for Students to deliver an innovative new project focused on supporting children on a child protection plan, run in collaboration with @sheffielduni.bsky.social, London Academy of Excellence Tottenham and Frontline.

Really nice to see on the NCFC doc that one of Hanley’s prized possessions was his tribute from the lockdown promotion season. @alongcomenorwich.bsky.social arranged one for all the players. Was special for us and glad it meant something to them too.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what is the point of remembering being sad when you can just pretend it didn’t happen?
