Tonight's distraction movie is Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986) starring Carol Kane, Jonathan Pryce and Whoopi Goldberg. This was I think the first spy movie I saw as a kid and got me hooked. But it also gave me unrealistic romance views.

Made Kat Lieu's Simple Shortbread with Miso cookies. I was excited because I basically had all the ingredients. I had red miso from a Mac&Cheese recipe. I did substitute with lemon, lime and mandarin juice from the trees in the back instead of yuzu.

I made Scallion-Miso Mac and Cheese for dinner. It came out great for a slightly different twist on mac and cheese.

As suggested I'm going to alternate between Torchwood and Doctor Who series 3. Up first is Everything Changes 2006). This is the show that got me into Doctor Who because I saw a picture of Jack/Ianto and needed to watch what it was from, found out it was a spin-off and the rest is history.

Got Grandbaby Cakes cookbook from the library and had to try the first recipe "Mama's 7UP Pound Cake". Had a little trouble getting it out of the pan but it tastes so good if you like lemon cake. This cookbook goes on the buy list.

Tonight's distraction is a rewatch of BrainDead (2016) starring Aaron Tveit, Tony Shalhoub, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Danny Pino. I haven't watched this political sci-fi satire since it aired but *gestures to everything* made me want to revisit it.

Back to my Doctor Who rewatch with The Idiot's Lantern (2006). Yeah, the no faces thing is so creepy but it is another episode I enjoy a lot. Was tempted at points to cosplay Rose in this episode.

Back to my Doctor Who rewatch with the last of the 9th Doctor- Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways (2005). These are another pair of episodes that are some of my favorite. And the noise I made watching Jack kissed both Rose and The Doctor goodbye.

Doctor Who rewatch comes to some of my comfort viewing favs that I've watched so many times. Up first is The Empty Child (2005) which introduces Captain Jack Harkness, the character that is the reason why I discovered Doctor Who in '06. Take me dancing on top of space ship next to Big Ben please.
