I have finished Wind and Truth. Gotta say pretty much nothing happened as I thought it would've. A ton of powerful moments were packed into this book, though. Need a lot of time to let it simmer.

The rest of the week is pretty crazy for me. Casting Rocket League, right into flying into Atlanta to cast Smite. It's been a really tough year for me, but October onwards has given me Valorant and Smite, I feel fortunate for these opportunities.

I wish Pittsburgh had an NBA team. I don't know why, but I've just found it hard to find a team to align myself with. I like Jokic, but just feel nothing for the team he plays for.

I definitely need to keep telling myself this too, but just because you can express an opinion doesn't mean you should or that you need to. Many times, we just don't need to comment.

Did XDefiant cause the movement change that came to Black Ops 6? So much energy around that game when people were really wanting old school arcade call of duty, yet omnidirectional movement is anything but old school. Perhaps they're unrelated, but I find it interesting

Really excited for Stormlight Book 5 this Friday. To be honest, not sure how Sanderson is gonna hit the payoff and I am really curious about the direction he's taking Kaladin, but a lot of interesting threads he's gotta close. Either way, been waiting a long time, it's finally time!

In the last month I've tackled two different genres of game to cast, FPS and MOBA, and delivered at a high level. It's been a great test of my abilities as a caster & it's been fun adjusting to them. I'm proud of the results so far & I know they're only going to get better.

The only thing left I really want out of Rocket League is full first-party support of custom maps, playable across all platforms. That's really the only thing the game has been missing, they've only ever been available on PC.

Balatro absolutely deserves the GOTY nomination. It's such a well crafted game that I think it should win straight up. What other game had such a similar impact on release this year?

I am absolutely pumped for Steelers vs. Ravens this time around. A lot of great players colliding + the rivalry itself + the current stakes is a recipe for a slugfest let's go.

CCGs monetization might be worse than a mobile game. MTG Arena's spend amount to have one competitive deck is ridiculously high. If you wanna play your way there, you'll have a deck in years. Buying packs just to get a mythic wild card only some of the time is peak lame
