I went to church this morning at the church I grew up in. This is why I don’t have religious trauma as a queer person.

I’m so excited for 2024, where I’ve set myself up to focus on my own writing and book deadlines and do less of everything else. Until then, I have the rest of 2023, where I reap what I sowed in terms of over scheduling and am thinking about 9 books at once.

I get to wake up every day and do what I love for 8-10 hours in order to pay my bills. I worked so hard to get here, and I’m so grateful every single day. I wonder how many problems would be solved if everyone got to do what they love all day.

today’s writing lesson: 🧵 I’ve been walking a little more lately. I know there’s only a little more summer left, and I want to be in the sun before I’m depressed until May. I haven’t been working out, so I am telling myself the walking will be my exercise. I just need to get enough steps.
