In the middle of a work week and admittedly, I’ve been on quite an anime binge thanks to various subscriptions. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Akira, Neon Genesis Evangelion (for the 1st time), and completely out of left field, I find myself now hooked on Jujutsu Kaisen.

2025 was an odd one. Started off genuinely horrible in the first half, but after therapy + spending time with friends, I’ve slowly been recovering & finding my place again. Hoping the new year brings forth opportunities to heal & thrive, not just for myself, but everyone!

After a particularly rough week post-MFF, happy to say I’m a lot better after a trip to Idaho Springs for the historic Indian Hot Spring’s main pool. Huge shoutout to Anna & Dexter for setting this up, that plus Colorado style pizza at Beau Jo’s was a killer combo <3

Despite the ordeal with Amtrak on the return trip home, it was actually quite the fun adventure in Ottumwa, Iowa and one I’m not soon going to forget. And funny enough, the refund + travel voucher will help me cover my trip to San Francisco this spring/summer, so it all works out <3

No lie this has been an absolute shitshow on Amtrak's part. They had zero communication with us and a lot of us juts had to call to figure our own plans out. To their credit they got us hotel rooms. That's it.

Train home lost power multiple times, no working toilets, understaffed, etc. w/ a 6+ hour delay. However, all the furries here took a bad situation and made it a mini convention that’s STILL ongoing in the observation car. It’s a wild situation, I’ll never forget this trip x3

Hate to admit I’ve slept 12 hours the last three days in a row, but between working overnights & that chaos of Thanksgiving, it’s nice to FINALLY be back on a regular sleep schedule. Kinda sucks it took 3 days to get to this point though ^^;

It’s been an absolute STRUGGLE not to get Zootopia 2 spoiled because of the generous posts about the film online, but I’m AMPED to see it tomorrow! Wild it took them 9 years to make a sequel, last time I saw a Disney animated film was Moana x3

Had a pretty good Thanksgiving, even though I slept most of it away and someone dinged my passenger door on the WRX. Woke up to a full Thanksgiving meal ready to go, so it was better than expected ^^

What a brutal work week, & for the cherry on top, everyone called out except for me & 2 other people…on Thanksgiving Eve. Good news is, I’m off until December 17th after I clock out in the morning, so I suppose I can’t complain too much. Home stretch, just gotta hang in there.

Sad to say that my roommate’s family’s beloved cat, Pickles, got hit by a car sometime today. While he wasn’t my own, he and I quickly grew inseparable over my time living here. Will genuinely miss him, I’ve never met a cat with a gentle soul quite like him. RIP bud.

Been a bit of a busier week than expected, ended up sleeping all day after my first shift last night to recover. Now, I’m back on the clock again. Really looking forward to taking a few weeks off in December for my birthday and MFF, just gotta make it 7 more nights <3

Finding out about I’m riding up and back from MFF with friends on Amtrak made my night. I almost always travel solo these days, esp by rail, so it’ll be nice to have familiar faces share a row with me in coach <3 Really excited, can’t wait to see everyone soon ^^

Had a fun, yet short, outing up in Estes Park with @radiohusky.us before work today. Wonderful to see most of the tourists gone for the season…well, at least until the holidays. Even the trout were abundant in numbers I haven’t seen before! Exactly what I needed to start the work week <3

Kept the PSVita plugged into the outlet in a state of limbo the last 2 days because I didn’t want to lose my place in the final boss battle against Solidus in MGS2 HD from the flight home. Absolutely wild how well the story holds up even today, Kojima was cooking back in 2001.

Surreal to be back in CO, wild to think just yesterday I was back on the family homestead out in the Ocala National Forest. While I’m thankful to be at the foothills of the Rockies, there’s something about home that hits just right. Making plans for a return visit next year <3

Man, what a weekend. Seeing old friends & experiencing Halloween Horror Nights for the 1st time was an incredible experience.. Exhausted, but eternally thankful I have such amazing people in my life that make trips like this possible. I needed this so badly <3

Final shift of the week, & a particularly brutal one at that. Heading straight to Denver at 4am after an early clock-out to get my tail over to FL for a much needed visit back home. It’s going to be incredibly difficult to focus at work tonight, I’m already in vacation mode 🏝️🐺

TIL that Sony disabled the ability to transfer PS1 games from PS3 to Vita when they enabled 2-factor authentication a while back. However, thanks to third party software, I was able to rip the files right off my good old PSP & transfer my ENTIRE PS1 digital library over to Vita.

Sorry I’ve been afk the last week but work in particular has been BRUTAL. However, just 2 more shifts until I’m off to Orlando on Thursday. My mind is 100% in vacation mode, can’t wait to hit up Universal w/ friends & chill with dad out in the woods. I’ll see y’all in FL soon!
