Lately, most media resembles an abandoned realm in cyberspace. I am an active user on only 6 of the 35 media platforms I once used. Media is crucial for authors. It's our No. 1 tool to advertise our books.

Sometimes, indie book promo or indie work promo falls into the chaotic good or chaotic neutral category. That's fine by me. Unpredictably awesome.

The algorithms can rarely be in your favor. Show them who the boss is.

Fellow authors of all types, don't be afraid to spam and surpass the algorithms. Your work deserves to be heard.

Allow me to swap the word "indie" for the word "genuine."

To the person I just blocked: Hiring a whole group of artists and marketers to fight unfairness in art requires two things: 1) Trusting the group you hired. 2) Having made enough money from book sales to start spending more. Before they post nonsense, they should get their brain working first.

When each of your books includes one of the best plots worldwide and still needs all that marketing to sell, then there's serious concern about the genuineness of the reading world out there or society's directed tendencies. Support indie books. Commercial books aren't what they seem to be.
