The Dead Space remake brought an urge to rewatch the space horror Event Horison. A personal favorite, I never realized it was butchered by producers to fit timelines, with the original footage seemingly lost/destroyed with little chance of a directors cut. Based on that, I appreciate it more.

The original Castlevania is bloody hard once you get to stage 15. Even with save states.

So on Sunday afternoon I sat and finished The Castlevania Adventure for Game Boy. How I had the patience to finish it back in the day when there were no save states, no save files, just 3 lives and 3 continues. If not for the save function today, I just wouldn't have bothered.

I've just sat through a This Morning interview listening to Jill tell her awful tale of losing £120,000 after her late husband invested in a 'crypto trader' scam using my face as the bait. Its devastating to hear, and leaves me fuming. This should've been stopped years ago.

And that's Strider (2014) done. What a ruddy good time it was, too. Fast paced, challenging, tough bosses, one of the best learning curves I've experienced in a game for years. You think you're not gonna make it, but it pushes you to do better. Very rewarding.
