Listening to None Inch Nails' 2013 return 'Hesitation Marks' this morning on the turntable. Great hooks and vibes that take you somewhere between 'The Fragile' and 'Pretty Hate Machine's in style. The album is as danceable in a way he hasn't tried since PHM.

Not an album but wanted to share my thoughts on the end but single from Simmons Stanley. Like Simon and Garfunkel if they had a 90s darker tone to it, their debut track 'Body Down' manages to stay away from what made KISS so big without leaving us with something uninteresting.

Been working on my top 10 list for albums released this year, finally got it cut to 25 albums that impacted me. Now I'll run it through my comparison app and start getting them in order, although there are a few heavy hitting music still to come with Peter Criss, Ryan Caraveo, and Simmons Stanley.

'Significant Other' by Limp Bizkit. A fun album that only takes itself seriously for a few tracks, but they are all bangers. The less-serious tracks also hold their own with catchy rhythms, and Sing-along melodies. Great Tracks include: Just Like This, Re-Arranged, N 2 Gether Now.

A hard hitting nu metal album with way more Limp Bizkit bounce in it then I remembered (mostly because follow up Iowa is heavy and Thrashy, and Vol 3 has a sound all its own). This album hits just as hard today as it did then. Heavy hitters include '(sic)', 'Spit It Out', 'Scissors', and 'Eeyore'.

Great month for music so far. Token's new album hit hard with some tough to hear great content and a bop with Ren, and now Yungblud's album #Idols is amazing and a must have on Vinyl for me.

Just finished the 2024 remake of Riven.. Brilliant game. Absolutely had an amazing immersed time.

Music people of ALL skill levels. Any tips on lyrics? Do you find an instrument melody first, then shape the vocal melody? Or do you count syllables when writing the lyrics and then find the melody later?

Been working on a new banjo part. Sounds like a suspenseful movie score track, and I'm thinking it may end up being an ambient track on the album, if we end up working on that album, that is!
