I was exploring my old gaming laptop today, I haven't seriously used it since 2019 as I just threw Folding@home on it and left it on my shelf for nearly 7 years. Lots of old de-synced projects that I'm backing up. Its still a rather capable laptop, not sure what I'm going to do with it tho.

Everything at work broke, spent most of the day ssh'd into my computer at home writing little bash scripts and messing with docker containers.

I guess I'm just fully onboard with Linux now. Like in the past month I've booted into windows once. That was just to play minecraft with my friends... then the bedrock launcher updated like a day later. I like Vintage story more anyways, and it runs on Linux.

Tempted to buy a bunch of plastic skeletons then make an abomination of anatomy.

doing hackerman stuff... wrote a bash script that uses nmap to scan my network to find my phone. it then uses the IP to connect it to an adb (Android Debug Bridge) server then run scrcpy to mirror the screen so I can control it remotely. I was jealous of of my mac having friends this feature.

Little kiosk thing at work keeps falsely accusing people of stealing stuff. I started circumventing it by standing just outside of the camera's viewing angle. I noticed a while after I started doing that, it's started switching to a wide mode. Someone somewhere is upset.

I finally installed Linux (Debian 13) on my main desktop. It was such a painless transition, I should have done this forever ago.

dang... storm knocked my power out and chrome finally updated to manifest v3. Whelp, time to switch to firefox and or setup a pi-hole.

I had a day. locked my keys in my car, messed up my fingers trying to get them out, stepped in gum, skipped my break because I spent nearly an hour unsuccessfully trying to get them, then somebody rammed me in the drive through (no damage) but still. A whole cartoon plot happened, I'm staying home.

I think the air freshener in my room marinaded me. People are both complaining and wondering where the good smell is coming from around me, I'm the common denominator.

started noticing that some videos have like multiple tracks of music playing at like a really low volume behind the main music track. I mostly see it in animation memes and short form videos. I assume it might be some kind of algorithm manipulation a copyright counter measure. I hear it though...

going through folders on my computer. one folder seems to have a an unusually deep directory tree... clicking through it for like 3 minutes until I realized that the last folder was a symbolic link to the initial folder in the chain. Past me is a jerk.

If you put a glow stick in the microwave it glows REALLY bright. Then it pops and sprays bitter glowing liquid everywhere.

know what I like most about furnace? That masterwork of a tracker is free, you can just have it. its like cool, go forth and create! then people do.
