The charity for those with Despmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour (DSRCT) and their loved ones.
Mateo thought you might need some reassurance that you don’t need to run for our Marathon Your Way In A Month challenge coming up in August! Why not get fit whilst having fun with family and friends? Whether you want to walk, roll, jump or skateboard it’s totally your choice.

Yesterday Mateo; Capture’s biggest supporter, found out he has been shortlisted and will be a finalist in the Young Hero section of the BBC Make A Difference Awards. Since day one Mateo has channeled his love for his big sister Liz into making a difference to others diagnosed with DSRCT.

16.5 hours in and these guys are still going STRONG. Alternating between stitching and swimming they have rocked Splash and Stitch. It’s not too late to sponsor them and help us fund essential research into palliative care:

Preparations for our 24 hour Splash and Stitch are well underway, but we need your help to make a huge splash! Whilst people can attend the event in person we are also looking for people to take part remotely.

Our incredible Lake Windermere fundraising swimmers smashed their outdoor swimming challenge today, but not before they squeezed in some knitting! They truly are incredible and we are beyond grateful to them.

We are so very grateful to Belinda and her intrepid friends for taking on a 1 mile swim across Lake Windermere on Friday 13th June. People taking on challenges like this make a huge difference to our fundraising and help us to fund vital research for the DSRCT Community.

Capture is so thankful to Helen Frankish King, who last weekend completed the Ironman Hamburg Triathalon. Helen swam 3.8km, cycled 180km and completed a marathon (42.195km) whilst raising funds for research into DSRCT.

This week is national volunteer's week! Unlike large charities, Capture is run entirely by volunteers. It means that every penny we raise can go directly to making a difference.

Before Capture Mateo felt sad whenever he saw a charity shop. He hated that people cared about other things but that no-one cared enough to try to help save his sister. Through Capture Mateo feels as though he can make a difference. He feels less sad because he knows others care.

One of the reasons we chose the name Capture for the charity is that we are passionate about capturing the essence of our community. This road can be lonely one and we know many people travel this journey without ever meeting someone else in a similar situation.
