I might not have gotten to go to NAIC because it's on the other side of the world from me, but I did find a shiny Articuno after only 3831 encounters and complete the shiny legendary birds! So in the end it all evens out I think

Shiny Feebas in Emerald after a mere 3805 encounters! Fifth member of my Sapphire DTQ found. Probably harder to actually find Feebas than to shiny hunt it lol, it changed location I think 3 or 4 times over 2 games. Can't believe it's finally time to hunt Chimecho

Finally found the fourth member of my Sapphire dream team quest - shiny Lileep after 18437 encounters! Playtime's over, it's time to find shiny Feebas.

Third member of my Sapphire dream team quest found - shiny Trapinch after 12932 encounters! Now for a little intermission in the form of a soft reset hunt for Lileep before the two silly hunts

I get that it’s one option per generation, but sorry Mothim and Salamence, we stan Wormadam and Metagross in this household! As for the others I’d go Azumarill, Staraptor, Furret, and Houndoom.

Finally found my first two shinies of 2025 - shiny Sandshrew after 22226 encounters (a new record!) and shiny Cacnea almost immediately afterwards at only 1274 encounters! Phases 1 and 2 for Trapinch down

I got Zubatted again - second phase for Aron is another Zubat after 4443 encounters. At least both phases were quick!

Phase 1 for Aron was a Zubat after only 3075 encounters! Bottom left game strikes yet again, that was its fifth shiny out of nine!

Phase 7 for Shroomish ends with Zigzagoon #2 after 9461 encounters. Oddly it was in the same game and had the same nature as the first one a month and a half ago. I guess finding a shiny mere minutes into Halloween in my time zone is cool?

Phase 6 for Shroomish just finished with another Cascoon after 12179 encounters! Can someone please get me out of this forest already lol

I've phased five times in the last month looking for Shroomish for my new DTQ so that's fun. Getting Dustox is hype though!

My four favourite shinies so far are: Safari Zone Dratini that I somehow caught first phase Roaming Cresselia that took 6 months to find Latias which is still my only hunt in Emerald and Shaymin who's just doing their best
