Dear American Christians, Claiming “Jesus is my God, Trump is my president” is not the flex you think it is. Boasting about following Jesus while idolizing a man who embodies greed, cruelty, dishonesty, and hatred is spiritual bankruptcy.

Christians calling Zohran Mamdani a ‘threat to the Church’ while refusing to call out Trump over the Epstein files, the war in Iran, the actions of ICE, blasphemy and the mistreatment of minority groups isn’t just baffling. It’s blatant hypocrisy.

If Obama’s supporters built him a golden statue, conservative Christians would call it demonic, idolatrous, and anti-Christian. But when MAGA does it for Trump, suddenly golden idols become “Christian values.” The hypocrisy is mind-numbing.

Every day, it becomes clearer: MAGA Christians do not worship Jesus; they worship Trump. So please don’t lecture the world about “Christian values” while bowing to a man who embodies the exact opposite of Christ.

Allow me to be clear: Conservative Christianity in the US has never been about Jesus. It has always been about racism, power, control, and patriarchy.

It becomes clearer every day that America doesn’t just tolerate racism. It’s built on it.

Allow me to be clear: Trump reading the Bible at the White House doesn’t make him a Christian any more than me reading the Qur’an makes me a Muslim. If your reading of the Bible doesn’t shape how you treat people and administer justice, it’s just noise. Period.

Dear Americans, Jesus is not American, and America is not a Christian nation. Full stop.

Jesus: Feed the hungry and care for the poor. Conservative Christians in the U.S.: Let’s set aside a billion dollars from taxpayer money for a presidential ballroom, cut food aid to the poor, and call it “Christian values.” At some point we need to call this what it is: moral bankruptcy.

Dear Christians, we cannot claim to worship Jesus on Sunday and then spend the rest of the week being racist, homophobic, or misogynistic. Worshiping Jesus should make us more loving, never more hateful.

Dear Christians, always remember this: God loves Muslims, atheists, and LGBTQI people just as much as He loves you.

If we have learned anything from the Epstein files, it is that the mantra “boys will be boys” needs to be erased from the English language. It is nothing more than a misogynistic statement that enables abuse.

Dear Conservative Christians: Jesus was not crucified for being conservative. He was crucified for radically calling out injustice and oppression against the vulnerable, perpetrated by both religious institutions and their political counterparts. I hope this rings a bell.

A Christianity that does not welcome the stranger, stand against racism, or speak up for women and other vulnerable individuals is one that has forgotten what Jesus stood for.

Christians, our obsession with conspiracy theories must stop. How can we claim to be people of truth while spreading wild conspiracy theories rooted in lies?

Dear Christians: Jesus is less concerned with your church attendance and more with how you treat and love people throughout the week.

Boy, oh boy, if we as Christians think that Andrew Tate or Elon Musk represent a biblical version of manhood, then we really need to read our Bibles more.

Christians, if we believe that God is love, then the way we communicate about Him must be done in a loving manner. Sadly, many of us fail to do this online.

Christians, our history is filled with racism, misogyny, violence, homophobia, and other deeply shameful actions. So, instead of longing for society to return to the "old Christian days," how about we focus on ensuring that Christians actually follow Jesus.

Dear Christians: Can we leave behind in 2024 the idea that Christianity and conservatism are the same thing? They clearly are not.

Christian nationalism poses a greater threat to Christianity than atheism or secularisation. Conflating any particular nation with Christianity betrays the gospel.

Dear Christians: If God can love us, then He can love anyone else. Stop acting as though God loves some people less than He loves you.

Christians, if God is love, it means His love is unconditional for LGBTQI individuals, atheists, and anyone else with whom we may disagree.
