Paper ballots are a best practice, but 98% of all Americans already vote on paper ballots, and have since 2020. Only state without paper - Louisiana. Perhaps the president should talk to the Speaker about his own state.

Attendees of the #PrinciplesFirst summit in DC were forced to evacuate after someone claiming to be Enrique Tarrio, the former leader of the far-right Proud Boys group who was convicted and then pardoned for his role in Jan 6, emailed in a bomb threat. Tarrio denied any involvement with the threat.

From the #PrinciplesFirst organizers (reposting from X): “We have received a credible bomb threat from an account claiming to be Enrique Tarrio, the recently pardoned leader of the Proud Boys who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for seditious conspiracy and the attack of January 6th.”

(1/2) There appears to have been a bomb threat called in against the Principles First summit in DC. Attendees were returning from a lunch break, expecting to hear next from former National Security Adviser John Bolton, when organizers asked everyone to clear the conference room.

Democratic Gov Jared Polis of Colorado is here at the Principles First summit, and he expressed concern that the uncertainty caused by Trump’s tariff threats could freeze markets and lead to a recession.
