Shenanigans before Bingo Loco tonight in Boise

I found my leather notebook I got when I was 14 years old. It was looking a little dry so I conditioned it today I may need to do another pass on it in a couple of weeks again. Hard to believe this is 29 years old now.

Even though I’ve cooked on a grill or smoker for nearly 2 decades I still don’t always get it right. I cooked these kebabs the other day and questioned if I should post them. Even though these weren’t a solid win they weren’t necessarily a fail either. Good flavor but I could have done better.

Since we have limited characters to post in here I took a screenshot of my instagram story. We are in unprecedented times here, protesting is still needed but we gotta start thinking outside the box. Our old strategies aren’t gonna just cut it & not just one thing works, we must think more broadly

Needed to trim up a bit. Was looking haggard.

Smoking some sharp cheddar on the bottom rack. Then colby jack, small brick of pepper jack, and small brick of extra sharp cheddar on the top rack. They will be good to go once they rest for 2 weeks in the fridge.

This week has been on one and it’s only Wednesday!

God it’s hard to get back into the gym. It’s annoying. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Then tonight I turned some of the tritip into tritip fried rice. It turned out better than I thought and can’t wait to try it tomorrow.

Made tritip and chicken yesterday. All turned out really well. Chicken was a little dry because I was running the temperature so high to get a good sear on the tritip.

Probably the best brisket I’ve made

Smoked a brisket yesterday. Turned out great.

Just finished a king sized blanket commissioned by my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. This one only took me 7 months. lol. Shaved 2 months off the time it took to make my last king sized blanket.

It turned out 👨‍🍳 💋 and Duncan approved.

Just wrapped them in peach paper and put them back on the smoker for a few more hours.

I desalinated some Wagyu corned beef for 2 days. I’m now throwing them in the smoker to turn them into some pastrami. We’ll see how they turn out in 7-8 hours.

The hubs and I had to replace the fan, computer, and igniter yesterday so today I’m testing its capabilities with some pork loins.

I smoked a pork butt last weekend. It made amazing pulled pork tacos for Valentine’s Day!

It’s new glasses day! Now i can see you all in high def! 😜
