Recently, there has been some criticism of Tom, ranging from him not being creative enough to not being strong enough in midfield. Interestingly, he has won 62.7% of his duels, averaging 5.5 per game, whereas (for instance) Michael Bostwick won 57.5% of his 6.5 per game in 2017/18, suggesting that the eye test isn't all it is cracked up to be.

Michael Skubala was rightfully delighted to pick up three points against Doncaster Rovers yesterday. A first-half strike from Frankie Okoronkwo put the Imps ahead, before Brandon Hanlan levelled with 20 minutes to go. City struck back immediately, going 2-1 up within a minute through an own goal from former Imp, Robbie Gotts. It was an entertaining game, full of incident against a decent Rovers side, and Michael was happy to see out the result after some late pressure.
