What really made the day was playing a bunch of Ridge Racer on the PSP Go 🚗⛰️

I'm so stoked for the new Fable, back in the day it was a reason to buy an Xbox. It is coming for PS5 what the heck? I heard it will have a open world though, many games lately get an open world forced upon them. The open world aspect scares me, what if it is not needed?

Already found a spot, only thing left is to enjoy. 👾

So far I got to try out Loco Roco, the Simpsons Game, and GTA Vice City Stories on the PSP

I'm really happy to add this PSP Go and the fitting N340 docking station to my collection. The dock is absurdly rare but a neighbor was selling it, I can't believe my luck. 🍀 My old childhood PSP 1000 is damaged, so let's go!

I'm backing up my PS3 in order to upgrade it to a 1TB SSD, so in 6 hours it will be done! 🚀 After I can digitalize my physical PS3 games for easy playing. All the consoles in the retro corner have this library concept, so there is opportunity to try many things. 👾

On my quest to connect Passable to our backend today a login flow was added. For now only sign in with Apple but more will follow. The Apple Wallet export plus loading your Passes from our backend is next then! 🎉 #iosdev As always implemented for macOS and iOS.

Yesterday I picked up my new glasses and now everything seems super sharp and clear, so many details everywhere! 👀

Today I worked on a neat contact import feature for Passable, you can pretty much get the form part done in an instant. The import flow even allows to choose which phone number etc. The cool thing is it works also on macOS with some extra love, more on that later! #iosdev

I learned my iPad layout needs some fixing since that one is detected at runtime not at compile time like all the others 😃 Nice I guess.

Yesterday night I finished Baldurs Gate 3, it took me almost 200 hours to get through. It was truly an epic!

New update on Passable, I added a minimize and maximize feature to the preview to have more editing space as well as a keyboard done button. It was fun emulating the macOS window controls for my little button. 👨🏻‍💻 Backend signed wallet passes are still coming! #indiedev

Here you see our Apple wallet pass rendered in Google wallet, the image disappeared but still works. We will add more fields that the Apple Wallet standard supports soon.

We have our first valid Apple Wallet pass. A contact card, signed in the backend of Passable. It even works in Google wallet to everyones suprise. Let's see to connect the app and the backend soon. ☺️

According to Metroid Prime 4 I beat it in under 17 hours, but my Switch's home menu says 25 hours. The later seems more accurate. 😃 Anyway I had a blast, here some footage of Samus dealing with the sandworm Varmis.

Looks like we are setup for signing wallet passes from my side now. Passable is shaping up nicely and fast!

Xcode Cloud is working really nicely for me now. Additionally improvements to Passable's form editor are coming along. You can now also tap on the preview. Connecting to the backend will still take a bit.

Speaking more of 1 ⭐️ reviews you can't fix in software: One time we obtain a bad review in a cooking app, as the recipe the user tried did not work without eggs. 🥚 They did not have eggs ready. 🥹 You as a software developer should have supplied those emergency eggs, shame!

What was your worst App Store review, which was not about your app? What do I mean by this? 😃 Like one time I was working for an airline app and we got a 1 ⭐️ review due to luggage of a person getting lost. Of course we were unable to fix this in the app. 😅

I spent a lot more time playing Metroid Prime 4 Beyond and I can only say that it is a great game. Flows amazingly for me. Anyone who likes exploration, Sci-fi and has a Switch 2 should try honestly. Being not my first prime game certainly helped though.

I'm seriously considering rebranding myself as a "cross-platform Swift developer" compared to "Apple platform developer". Swift in the cloud and on Android is doing amazing and for me this will be the future. 👨🏻‍💻

More news! As some have heard, I went from being a full time freelancer to be mostly an employee. Now to the news, my probation time is over and they decided to keep me. 🎉 Looks like I'm staying employed for the foreseeable future, getting used to payed leave and salaries. 🏝️

Personal update - Freelance Work! I'm from now on back supporting my friends at Porsche and Interactive Pioneers. This one is fun as my title is Architect and Technical Lead, an honor to be of service. It is a part time position and will be going at least till September 2026.

In the next hackathon my man Ole will start with a rest API that produces a pass. I will be working on a 'what you see is what you get' editor for passes consuming this API. The interesting part well be later when we integrate wallet api and update these bad boys remotely.👨🏻‍💻

We want users to eventually not only create business cards with Passable, but we feel like it is a great beginning. Eventually it could become a general purpose wallet pass tool, for iOS and macOS. The possibility to iterate is neatly in there.

The new app will be named Passable. It will allow you to create business cards compatible with Wallet app. The clue, a customer scanning the QR code on a pass, obtains the contact on their phone. No website opening. No app download needed. Just the contact you are interested in.

One evening of coding is easily spent on setup and boilerplate. I hope we get to continue soon! 👨🏻‍💻
