One of the main reasons Rayman Legends sold so poorly is due to it releasing alongside GTA5 ... GTA6 is now releasing at the end of the year, which is when the new Rayman is rumoured to release too

Rayman Control Panel 14.3.0 is now available! This update has some major improvements to the mod loader, support for new fan-games, a translation in simplified Chinese, a utility for generating Rayman GBC passwords and more! #rayman

I've been able to restore a bit more of the multiplayer in Rayman Advance, such as the menus. Most of the text I had to patch into the ROM since it was missing, but otherwise the menus themselves work better than I thought! #rayman

Turns out that Rayman Advance has an unused password selection screen. Maybe they didn't know if they would be able to use cartridge saves during development? #rayman

It seems they didn't post any music for Rayman 3 like they did with Origins and Legends. I wonder if there are issues with the rights to the older tracks? Like how the new GBC release had new music made for it and Éric Chevalier removed from the credits...

Today I managed to partially restore the unused leaderboard menus in the DSi version of Rayman 1! It's not fully known what they were for, but it seems the original intent behind the anti-dark matters (basically achievements) was to locally submit them between systems. #rayman

Rayman 2 has just been updated on GOG as part of their preservation program! It includes enhanced compatibility, Polish localization, improved controller support and cloud sync among other things. #rayman

So, thanks to @milesthecreator.bsky.social playing through the DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party we can now add that to the list of Rayman games with progression/save bugs! Cause turns out there's a minigame that's impossible to get gold in because of you being short of 1 second to do so.

Ubisoft just added Rayman 2 and Raving Rabbids to the Blacknut streaming platform after adding Origins and Legends last year. However several screenshots are very questionable 😅 One is from Reburrowed and another from an AI-upscale mod for Rayman 2. And then some are from other games. #rayman

I mentioned my headache issue before, but instead of getting better it's sadly just gotten worse. Can't even play games for 10 minutes now without headaches for multiple days + migraine. This has been incredibly depressing as video games have been such a big part of my life 😔

So... this was unexpected. I'm not a huge fan of these types of multiplayer games or the more generic art style, but it might still be fun to try? It seems to have some references to older games, especially in the music. My biggest concern though is that it'll be dead within a year or so.

The GBC version of Rayma 1 has this functionality called "Ubi Key" where you could unlock bonus levels in games by linking GBC systems together using the IR sensor. A few days ago I made a patch which makes the level accessible without this connectivity. #rayman

I wanted to create a password generator for #Rayman GBC like I have for R1 PS1, but put it on hold as it was way more complex than I thought. I did notice one interesting thing though. The game XORs the password with "VALERIOGBC". Valerio is an Italian name, so seems to be some developer reference?

I've been seeing a lot of discussions in various places about how Rayman Legends seems to have taken over the identity of the Rayman franchise. I think Legends is an amazing game, but I agree with it being the 30th anniversary that it'd be nice to showcase the older games more.

I don't mean to sound negative, but I was really hoping for more development related trivia from these 30th anniversary interviews. It's still ofc nice to hear from the devs themselves and all, but I feel like there's a lot more that could be shared too!
