My Windows 11 computer got updated to the new 24H2 update and it has completely messed stuff up 🫤 File search barely works and several older programs have a broken UI now. I've never had an update break things this badly...

Yeah so after hearing about the person behind the company producing this my excitement instantly turned to disappointment. This could have been such a cool thing. Why did Ubisoft have to partner with these guys 😔 I'm not buying this anymore as I don't want to support someone like this.

This is so cool 👀 Kinda pricey though. I would have hoped they'd improve the game a bit, like make the Ubi Key level accessible by default and having actual save files instead of a password save, but I'm still getting this for sure!

Been digging into Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA a bit lately and just now discovered a previously unknown debug mode! You can access it by changing the byte at 0x0860820C to 01 in the EU ROM. Using it displays the game version and Rayman's position, while also enabling some cheats. #rayman

There's an infamous bug in the US version of Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA. In the level Filthy Corridors when defeating the Rabbid robot enemies it'll cause the graphics to get corrupted. I decided to look into the code to see what causes it and why it doesn't happen in the EU version. #rayman

Rayman Raving Rabbids GBA has a mysterious archway in the hub world with no apparent purpose. I now discovered there is leftover code for a portal which checks if you've beaten the level right before the final boss. Perhaps the arch would have a portal taking you to the final boss?

I've recently been decompiling the GBA Rayman games for no particular reason, and honestly it would be really fun to make matching decomps for them. I don't have the time or skills to work on such projects on my own though, but if someone would like to collaborate on it I would be up for it!

Update: they replaced the image with a non-AI generated one. I'm really glad they listened to feedback and did that!

Flyos just made a blog post for the #Rayman Board Game, and it uses AI for the banner art 😔 I backed the project because of the creativity behind it, with actual artists transforming one of my favorite games into a board game. Seeing AI used to promote this on their website is really disappointing.

Brad recreated this level from these images and made a mod for #Rayman Origins on PC to restore it! You can download it through the Rayman Control Panel.
