Monday #FundingFreeze Status: Clear as mud. At the end of last week, some grantees started to have access to their accounts restored. Then, on Friday evening EPA sent an internal communication directing a "program review pause." Some of those same grantees had their funding turned back off today.

In a positive update on Friday afternoon, EPA's acting deputy administrator has issued a directive to release "any disbursements on open grant awards that were paused." It appears that a growing number of IRA grants are regaining access to their accounts after two weeks of chaos and disruption.
