It’a driving me batty to have to use obvious AI notes to study for a final. Every part of it is stereotypical AI junk, and it’s the only study material we’ve been provided outside of class and “AI debates”. I should‘ve waited longer to give teacher feedback cause I have an essay I could write.

Why are there virtually no Jewish students at Michigan Tech? Probably because they all got hatecrimed the instant they stepped foot on campus. Haven’t heard “synagogue of satan” before. Unrelatedly, I have a strong urge to punch certain people now.

The bad teachers rant at the students for the whole hour of their last class, then refuse to give answers to the practice exam “because it might be used next semester and you all might all cheat with it”. 7 different students asked some variation of “can we see what we did wrong so we can study?”

These were being handed out *in* my college dorm. This feels like it ought to be some sort of illegal. Oh yes, let me try this sketchy “vitamin” randomly given out by who knows.

The internet is great. No one questions the facebook account with the last name “Haxwell”. Which yes, is an exaggeration, but no one’s questioned it yet. :)

The paradox of good teachers: the good teachers have a line of students thanking the teacher, and will continue being great. The bad teachers, everyone leaves instantly and the teacher assumes the problem was with the students, and gets worse.

Also idk how it is elsewhere but in Oregon a major insurance provider recently changed their subcontractor who does payouts, and they're now massively stiffing providers on payments--sometimes paying them like 1/10th what they were previously getting.

My mod-podge phone case has finally begun to admit defeat. It‘s cracking on the part I painted before the current case so it’s not unexpected, but now I don’t have the supplies to fix it. Will probably fully redo it once I get back from this trip.

It’s so fascinating to me how people will be within earshot of people giving information and still follow the crowd ignoring that information. I wonder if there’s a random line competition at Defcon, lines going to nowhere.

99% sure Pandora and Spotify have linked my accounts now. My perfectly nice Pandora radio is getting ruined by songs I have on my Spotify that are the completely wrong genre. The number of ads on Pandora seems to have sharply increased, so I don’t know how much longer I’ll keep using it.

Hmm… might have an SAO idea. Have to come up with a fun implementation of it and check that the group would be interested, but it could be fun. My 6 page essay waiting to get started on is not happy about all the badge research I’m currently doing.

Trying to come up with gift ideas for some hackers. Everyone comes up with such cool ideas and I’m at a complete loss of what to make. I might (??) try making an SAO but then there’s so many options there it doesn’t help to narrow anything down.
