I went up north to do some hiking this weekend. It ended up raining a lot, which was pretty annoying, but in between rain I was able to hit Petobego Pond, Fisherman's Island State Park, Stutsmanville Bog, Consuelo and Charles Forest Reserve, & a few others.

Furry Migration was simply amazing, seriously one of the best fur cons I've ever been to. The room party block is one of the best features of any fur con, it made for a truly unique experience & it is an excellent way to meet some awesome furries.

I'll be headed to Furry Migration for the very first time in about an hour. I hope to get there about 5:00pm tomorrow. It's not that long of a drive, I just want to make a few stops along the way to see some waterfalls before I get there.

I went up to Fisherman's Island State Park yesterday. I was able to make the short crossing to the island itself due to the water being quite shallow & warm.

32 Maps! I have 32 maps! It's been a long 7 1/2 years, but I finally have 32 maps :D Perdition's Gate Resurgence is so close to being completed now. I expect to have a final release on IDGames in March.

I finished watching Beastars season 3. I liked it overall & it was an improvement over the 2nd season with episode 10 probably being the best in the entire series. The characters still seem to make random decisions at points though & I wish Louis was more involved with the rest of the characters.

I had to fight this Winter Wren for 25 minutes to get a nice photo. I think I finally tired him out as he actually stood in the same spot for another 30 seconds so that I also was able to get a short video of him as well.

Perdition's Gate Resurgence had a nice bit of development this week. New midi composer CpnQuack created 7 midis for the project. Then I also had a little special piece of artwork done that you'll get to see when the project releases. I'm still hopeful that I'll get the final map before January.

I headed south to do some hiking on Sunday. Fall colors were past their peak, but I was still able to get some nice colors in a few spots. Photos are from Mt. Baldhead in Saugatuck & along the Kal-Haven trail in South Haven.

A Wilson's Snipe from Martinique Island that I saw on October 11th. These birds are really tough to photograph as they stand super still & will fly before you see them. I had 3 this day that were super tame compared to normal so I was actually able to get a decent photo.

It's kind of astounding how bad any newsworthy topic has gotten over on Twitter. I've blocked hundreds of maga ass hats the past few months. The past few weeks have gotten particularly insane with Hurricane Helene & Milton due to all the wackos talking about government controlled weather.

I went out on the north breakwall at the mouth of the Grand River yesterday. I Ended up finding two extremely cooperative birds, the Buff Breasted Sandpiper is a bit of a rarity in Michigan so getting one practically within arms reach was pretty awesome. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3i1...

It's been awhile, but I've finally finished a new map of my own. It was made as a tribute to Jim Bargrow's Maps 16 & 14 from Realm of Chaos. My map is called The Wolf's Den & it will appear in Realm of Chaos 2 which will have it's first public release is just a few days from now.

I saw several rare optical phenomenon yesterday at Silver Lake State Park. Around the sun was a 22° Halo with 2 Sun Dogs & beyond that was either a 46° Halo or a Supralateral Arc, I'm not exactly sure which one it was.

I was up hiking in Cheboygan State Park on Monday & ended up spotting 2 Hudsonian Godwit.

I went kayaking on the Grand River on Sunday & saw some pelicans.

I headed down toward Columbus on Thursday to spend the weekend at AnthrOhio, as always I hit a ton of trails and waterfalls along the way including Springville Marsh State Nature Preserve, Shrum Mound State Memorial, Rock Mill Falls, & Rock Stalls Falls Nature Preserve.

It sure was a busy weekend! On Friday on my way to MCFC I stopped in Grand Ledge & hiked The Ledges Trail. I did in fact see some ledges while I was there.

I saw a pair of Trumpeter Swans here in Muskegon today.

I went to Ludington State Park on Sunday. I hiked about 10 miles of trails & ended the hike by checking out an abandoned Girl Scout Camp in the park. You can see the foundation of the kitchen/dining hall, the view of the bay from the dining hall, water wells, & the bathroom/laundry room foundation.

I picked up a Vaporeon from the Jungle Set of the Pokemon TCG today at MuskeCon. It's probably my first time getting one of the original Generation 1 cards since the late 2000's. Who knows maybe one day I'll finish off my collection, but I do have a bit of a ways to go sill.
