Recently I've been learning Substance Designer. I finished a tutorial series I was following along with and am simply rubbing my hands together at the possibilities!

doubloon sculpt to be used for a normal map. I sculpted it because I wanted it to appear to have imperfections, and also because I feel like I should be sculpting more often

I finished Metroid Prime 4 recently, and I think about it a lot. There were so many missed opportunities. I'm glad the game finally came out after an undoubtedly hellish development cycle, but I also hope future metroid titles do not take *any* inspiration from prime 4 at all

I played both sessions of the air riders global test ride today. 10 hours in the demo build altogether, and I'm left only wanting more. I will simply disappear when the full game comes out

I'm gonna start sharing what I've been working on here: I'm recreating Mario Circuit from Mario Kart World as a study. This is about a month in, I'm making this in the free time that I have away from work so it's definitely slow going. None of what I have here is final, still really WIP

In Donkey Kong Bananza, Fractones can be modified by throwing chunks of dirt at them. With enough patience, so much material can be heaped on them that they reach their maximum size, a giant cube. After the cube form has been attained, no further material will adhere to them.

now I'm cooking, finally calling this almost done, all that's left is to draw an inventory icon for it. forgot to tick CPUAccess in the mesh properties when I re-imported so the VFX bugged out again, but other than that I'm pretty happy with it!
