I fed the pigeons this morning, and, apparently, the cooper's hawk as well 😞

Back from his yearly vet visit. He's gained a pound, but they're not concerned. He got compliments from all the vet techs and cuddled with one while getting his vaccinations. He still screamed his head off the entire time he was in the carrier. #lynxpointsiamese

Things are tough. I'm trying my hardest to stay positive.

The criminal and the massive oak tree he climbed up high enough I couldn't reach him. The lowest branch is about three feet above my head. He was up the side of the tree in two seconds flat. #Caturday

I let my guard down for a second and Appa was up the giant oak tree and out of reach. I lured him back with treats and tried to grab him, he clawed and bit me. Eventually, called for help and got a step stool brought outside. Appa immediately jumped down. My cat sucks.

I look forward to trimming with honor...

Came home from my third 9 hour work day this week to find the new bag of cat litter I put in that morning was infested with bugs. Hundreds of bugs on the walls of the box, in the litter. Poor Appa had to use that today. Needless to say, dumped, disinfected, and another new bag of litter is in.

On Thanksgiving of 2024, I had the brilliant idea to have my nieces and nephew hide 60 tiny ducks in my parents' house. 8 months later, the final duck has been found!

Shrew bite update: the scab fell off but it's looking pretty clean to me. More ointment applied.

I let him kill rodents in the yard, but this one got him back (small spot on his lower lip). I just towel wrapped him and cleaned it out (that was fun). Let's hope I don't have to take him to the vet in the morning

I've dreaded changing Appa's food, but the latest price increase from Ziwi is too much for me. I added a small portion of Kangaroo from Koha and he gobbled it up. Let's see how his stomach takes it. You can order a 3 can sample pack of this to try it out.
