Everyday I come into work I feel increasingly like I don’t want to be here. I don’t have the energy anymore for the two hours of commuting, the office politics, the cattiness, the showboating, the context switching. But seeing the job market right now, I’m not loving what I see elsewhere either.

I’m so tired of six of seven days a week feeling mentally burdened by an existential threat to my existence. Always inadequate, never good enough. I have no space to be free, to be happy among friends, to feel in control of important aspects of my life. Who am I in all of this? What’s my story?

You know I’m exhausted from working three straight weekends when I present my deliverable today, get off early, cook dinner and pass out dead asleep for two hours… at 6pm in the evening. Oof!

It’s 9pm and I’m so tired and over today that I’m seriously considering bed while there’s still light out.

Recently I’ve been feeling somewhat invisible living in Seattle. People recognize me and say hi, but don’t invest time to know me. Moving to another city much later in life has definitely been harder to break into well established groups, and then there’s the generation gap in furry too.

It’s making me ill how quickly companies are trying to erase any version of diversity and equity being part of team discourse, and disbanding key learning programs. One can’t be inclusive without respecting the other two parts.

It’s my balloon 🎈 day today. Going to have a low key evening, and enjoy a steak dinner and hot tub.

We visited the Pokémon Cafe in Tokyo. They even had someone in a Pikachu costume come out and do a performance for patrons. It was so cute!

Despite having a great time in Japan, I’ve come back with severe contact dermatitis from something I ate or drank there. It’s making life hard when work is also pretty crazy atm.

I’ve woken up with big tummies on the brain. There is likely no remedy for this affliction. Send tummies please, preferably to my bed so I can offer rubs <3

Oh no, I seem to have got myself a case of the jetlags and woke up at 4am. Now to “force” myself to sleep for the next three or so hours.

I hate that my anxiety levels are so high just because I’m going on vacation for two weeks. I really hate this feeling. I feel unprepared.

Been sleeping poorly this week feeling anxiety over my Japan trip. I have so much to do before leaving. Adulting is tough sometimes :S

It’s that time of year again where I feel permanently sleepy and my skin becomes translucent through lack of sunlight. Thanks PNW weather.

As a side note, it’s so nice to come on here and not be blasted with right wing rhetoric, useless ads, and to be able to see what your friends are doing. It’s a breath of fresh air.

I’m having a serious case of the Mondays. Now we’re planning this trip to Japan in January, my only thoughts consist of a deep desire for a proper vacation.
