Non-coffee content: I’ve just started watching game of thrones and I’m 8 episodes into season 1. Maybe this is unpopular but the show is really predictable and the smut isn’t adding as much as it takes away. The only characters I like are the moral compass-aligned horse lovers. Everyone else sucks.

I get asked about how academics use and view LinkedIn. For me, LinkedIn is a platform to see where my students and collaborators’ students, and occasionally our colleagues, end up. The direct message portion is… ok… so long as you can look beyond the endless advertising popping up there.

New platform - time for new results. Our lab is about to publish a series of industry changing electrochemical studies on coffee. Unlike some of our previous results, this field requires a fair bit of background chemical knowledge. I’ll do my best to teach it as the papers come out. ☕️
