After years of trying, I finally captured one of my Milky Way bucket list shots. The core lined up perfectly with Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Patience, persistence, and a lot of learning made this moment under the stars unforgettable.

Took a drive up to Hurricane Ridge to practice Milky Way photography last night. It's great that the core is up so much earlier than it is in April. No waiting until 3 am for a decent shot.

Little video I made of the Friday night northern lights dancing in the sky.

Here's a photo I took of the lights of Port Angeles, WA glowing under the cloud cover just after sunset. We are almost to the summer solstice and the longest day of the year. This photo was taken at 10:31 PM and you can see how light it still was. It's not fully dark until around 11 PM, I love it!

I heard there might be some northern lights, and I also heard Deer Park was open for the season — so I took a chance, and I took a drive, and I spent a thrilling Friday the 13th under the stars, on top of the World.
