One of the main reasons I wrote my book was to spark good conversations about a country trying to take responsibility for a tragic chapter in its past and seeking to make amends. My first two book talks--at our synagogue, then at Wonderland Books--did just that. Looking forward to many more.

Fondly remembering Susan Stamberg, one of NPR's "founding mothers," who died today. Her retirement party last month gave us a chance to thank her personally for all that she did to make NPR so vital to so many.
