It's time for newer, younger, & more diverse leadership at both parties, with every voter in the county of their respective party permitted to vote for chairperson. It's time for real change now!

A chairperson of the San Diego County Democratic Party is appointed or elected when the position becomes vacant. The Executive Board may accelerate the process, with notice sent to members. Chair Pro-Tem temporarily leads, & a majority vote by the Central Committee elects a new chair. Only insiders!

Tired of the same insiders controlling your party? When central committees elect themselves, it fosters nepotism, favoritism, & conflicts of interest. Genuine representation & accountability are at risk. Our voice matters & leadership reflects your community, not insider deals. www.democrat.email

When central committee members exclusively elect each other without broader voter participation, it can create a cycle of nepotism, conflict of interest, & favoritism. This limits diversity, transparency, & accountability, potentially prioritizing personal alliances over community representation.

Currently, only a limited group is allowed to vote for County Chairperson positions in Democratic or Republican County Parties. This restricted process fosters issues nepotism, inefficiency, & even fraud, particularly at the county leadership level. Addressing this is a concern we must all agree on.

The most effective way to achieve this is to permit any registered Democrat or Republican to run for their respective County Party Chairperson position. All registered party members within the county should have the right to vote for this role. Currently, this is not the case in many counties!

Younger, fresh voices can break the cycle of career politics & heal our divide & political gridlock? New candidates are the answer to our impasse and turmoil. Democratic & Republican voters must unite for real change. Let’s support the next generation of leaders to build a stronger, united future!
