Mantis update: The 3 stevelings are so full of energy. Feedings used to take upwards of 10 minutes as they struggled to find and catch the fly. After their first molt, feedings take only a couple minutes! These guys are insatiable and hunt down the flies with ruthless efficiency. So proud 🥹

Mantis update: 3 of the mantises successfully molted and made it to their L2 stage! The 4th mantis unfortunately didnt make it... The 3rd mantis had a slight mismolt, but i carefully helped remove it and they are perfectly fine aside from some wonky feet :)

My home was INVADED by this large moth. I let it off with a warning, but next time i will have the authorities involved.

Mantis update: Still 4 babies. No molts yet, but they keep eating and still have energy. High hopes for these guys :D

Yesterday the mantis nymphs were seperated into cups, 15 in total. Ive fed them 3 times since then and many of them ate right away! Unfortunately over the past day they have dwindled to just 7. Its normal for most of them not to make it to their first molt, only the strongest survive after all.

Its been nearly 2 months, i almost lost hope, but my mantis nymphs have finally hatched!!! Theyre still too tiny to get any good photos, but expect them soon!
