"New hardware calls for a new fit." After running for 8 years, I decided it was finally time to upgrade to a new computer, and broke it in with this drawing of Enamtila. (Who's both my artist avatar and the personification of my computer.) "New hardware" is a gen behind- But still a huge jump.

Aiyana also has the honor of being my only character with a VTuber rig, though it's way outdated by modern standards. She graced the screen back when I used to stream. Sadly haven't had a use for the rig since, since I make for a terrible streamer. Not pictured: AFK mode dreaming of carrots

After all these years of limbo, I finally had a faint idea regarding Synivari's story, yet it's still quite faint... There's still a sorta villainess story energy that I very much desire, yet haven't managed to grasp. It doesn't help that I'm actually not that good at making villainess characters-

It's Christmas Eve and unfortunately I've got nothing started for this year due to life circumstances, but at least we've still got the drawings from the past years. Just gotta put this year on the tab. I hope everyone's holidays are going well despite this ever chaotic world we live in.

I've had a great idea for a Christmas drawing! Except I 100% won't have the time to draw it, not this year. By next year it won't be relevant anymore- But then it's not like I ever keep up with trends anyway. Not even sure what I can manage this year. Gotta keep it simple this time.

I was struck by inspiration and made another broodmother on the spot recently... A backstory came together quick, then a discussion got a story set-up, and all that's missing is world lore. It's scary how well it came together. Another idea vying really hard for my attention, and who might win it.

I rolled a dice on the suggestions and it looks like a big blue gal is on the menu. Gotta figure out the puzzle of fitting a meme outfit to that body of hers, but that's part of the fun. And then of course my job called to have me in sooner than expected, so dunno if I can finish in time- Ah well.

Staring down a rabbit-hole for long enough that it stares back... My wallet trembles in fear. It's dangerous, but the temptation has broken free from its shackles- Not to take just one step, but to leap in head first. The fantasy appears tantalizingly close; how far can the fall possibly be?

For as garbage as modern DA is, there are still numerous creative gems buried amidst all the rubbish, and "More like this" is still decently functional. Well at least for a more monster-oriented person such as myself. Always on the lookout to expand the repertoire of possible monster girl bodies.

Finally figured out that my ClipStudioPaint with a "flickering ALT key" issue is fixed by simply running it as administrator, on the 0.000001% chance somebody else here runs into that issue. Though work's busy now, so I can't get back to drawing yet anyway, but at least that's resolved. (For now)

CSP having a weird persistent bug that won't let me open menus or name layers- As an artist who uses a hundred layers, this may be a sliiiiight problem. (On top of the issue of losing access to every non-hotkeyed menu function.) Haven't seen anything like this before; a bit of a headscratcher.

With the Halloween drawing for Caelia, it made me notice that the previous Caelia & Lidiah drawing pre-dated my joining this site, so may as well drop them here as well. It might be a liiiittle lewd.

It's Halloween! Not something I usually draw for though, partly for lack of ideas, and partly because fall is one of the busiest seasons for my job. Here are a couple drawings at least, even if they're mostly quite old.

At last a bit of story progress for my monstrous pregnant plant gals. Ideas to define the characters for the Mother Tree's story, especially the Light Seeker. Not!Biollante's initial story concept flopped, but a better one has begun to take shape. And of course the urge to draw more plant gals...

The internet makes me feel like some washed-up has-been artist who fell out of grace in 2019. ...But thinking about it, that's pretty much true. My ability to create art peaked around then and has been in decline since. Surely there's a bottom somewhere that I can recover from- buuut probably not.

Before my job eats me alive, here's an old OC meme I dug up from storage and filled out, giving a rough idea of where characters fall personality-wise.

Sometimes I wonder if I should turn some of my unused characters into adoptables or something. If I'm not going to get to their story, then maybe somebody else could. I wouldn't know where to begin with that though, especially since there's more to them than the typical adoptable.

At last, Pregnant Snek: Nin Edition, yuri included As is typical, I deviated from the standard Lamia design. I don't do the whole "swallowing huge things through human throat" business typical of vore, so opt for the double heads instead. The story is totally winged. Warning: abuse themes/imagery

I've been in a strong labor mood lately, and ended up thinking up another character/story last night. A humanoid (probably horns & claws) for a change too. Was trying to think up a villainess, yet she ended up nice. Either works though- But my drawing ability can't keep up with all these ideas...

Drawing the snek a second time so that her short story can end on a positive note instead of a dire one. Something I ought to do more often, except it also takes longer... Also I suppose I should mention she has a body plan similar to Oyonu, so not exactly a traditional lamia. (Sorry not sorry)

Today I woke up and chose violence. ...Which is to say I thought of a messed up scenario to draw while trying to figure something out with a "labor" theme. We get a snek out of it at least.

Why do atypical monster girls have to be so lovable, yet also such a pain to draw? Of course my own choices regarding critters doesn't help, nor my frequent insistence on painting them.

Finished another travel job with no more coming for the next month at least, so finally back to drawing cute insect gals. Though the fall crunch is even closer now, so this won't last long. One month to finish just one page is looking to be a generous estimate of the average completion rate here...

Yet another broodmother idea... Except this one actually has a concept for a game, & one that's reasonably realistic at that. The idea snapped together so well it's almost scary- Not that I have a shortage of ideas though, & it'd still need a ton of work, plus needing to learn a modern game engine.

Also in other news, the rare announcement of a pregnant anime figurine... and unlike the ones before, this one can actually fit my tastes. (Not underage, SA, etc) A foreboding sense in the wallet- For those curious, look up "Temptation Card Game" on MFC. Don't expect any hyper though.

It's been a couple years now and I may have simmered down a bit on the topic, but I still get in the mood for these sorts of designs from time-to-time. Made a couple characters & drawings, but never posted any- It feels like they need a proper intro for something so niche, but what exactly I dunno.

How to think of something quick & self-indulgent, when self-indulgent almost always means overcomplicated monster girl designs...

Couldn't finish the 1st page before being whisked away, but here's a panel at least. Had to upgrade my insect butt drawing knowledge for this comic. Nothing lewd beyond seeing it though; it's a fluff comic, contrary to my burning desire for dramatic story. Insect alone managed to overcome that.

Saying I draw a comic panel a day was being way to generous. More like finishing one panel's line art in a day, and only if it's a single character with minimal background. Then tone & shadow ~3 panels a day. I'm not suited for drawing comics, and yet I insist on doing so anyway-

My job must've heard that I was trying to draw a comic, because now I've been blind-sided by not one, but two travel assignments in a row, ahhhhh. My odds of finishing it before the fall crunch starts just dropped significantly.

That one time Nin drew insect x insect yuri, featuring a pregnant aphid and her ant lover. It won't be the last time either, because insect gals with big squishy abdomens are very much a mood.

I've said here-or-there that after May I'd start working on story projects, starting with comics. Of course it's mostly an unexciting process to watch, and means few random drawings. I draw painfully slow & my job schedule cuts in, so can't maintain anything like a webcomic schedule.

Summer is returning, and it's not good for my ability to draw...

I got stuck thinking: what if I converted my Biollante design into an original? Same body, but different flower, personality, story & fantasy world. No more concerns of invoking the Big G, but much more work required to try to capture the same gravitas. I've liked the original idea way too much...
