Jesus will return and the heavens and the earth will be rejoined and the city of God will be established with Justice BUT - when is that time? We don’t know, and our job is just to be ready. Don’t let anyone tell you they know a date. That is a clear sign they are a false teacher. ✝️

Kirk is dead bc the tribes of power both believe they’re never wrong and both believe violence might be ok if it is against my enemies. He is part of a systematic pendulum of death and destruction that do not represent Christ. We proclaim peace where there is no peace. We all need to stand down.

Can’t solve all the world’s problems? Jeremiah 29 is a template for living. Love God, tend your family, grow gardens, work toward the good of your city.

Watching the Gerrymandering battle across the country. Just another sign there is no wisdom or decorum left in our nation’s leadership. There is only the desire for “my” tribe to win. Praying personally for a return to rational argumentation and fair dealing. It’s wrong to rig.

We worship violence. I do believe Satan prowls, I do believe that we become open to influence without the power of Jesus Christ, and I believe that we are responsible for the evil we commit. This breaks my heart on so many levels. When in Babylon, we will continue to work toward the greater good.

Fear of the outsider is more powerful in our culture than care for the widow, orphan, and the alien among us. We may call ourselves Christian, but we are not formed inwardly which is betrayed by how we speak serve those who seek refuge from evil. The Judge won’t abide forever.

When Grammarly tries to correct the scripture I've copied to my notes for study. I use the NRSV, so it's not weak. I stream-of-conscious write, so Grammarly is beneficial to me. However, it's amusing to see the work of biblical scholars with little red lines underneath.

Just saw some pictures of a young lady going to prom through social media. When I graduated seminary I babysitted for this young lady, when she was potty training. That feels like yesterday and things aren't slowing down. Lord, thank you for eternity because our life is so short.
