According to John Case, Tina Peters' lawyer, the prison has increased security around her. He said he assumes the group of men in camouflage that blocked his entrance “has something to do with Tina." “She told me that there’s a detail of four of them that accompany her wherever she goes."

Here is the formal pardon for Tina Peters, signed by Trump, according to her lawyer. It appears to be dated Dec. 5.

From the MN Society for Professional Journalists: St. Paul police shot three photojournalists (MPR, Reuters, Sahan Journal) with "less lethal" munitions during an ICE operation yesterday. One had to go to the hospital. They say they were specifically targeted by St. Paul police.

Even if Polis ultimately decides to deny the Trump admin's Tina Peters request, his long silence in the face of such brazen lawlessness has already done damage. Bipartisan county clerks said Tuesday they have experienced an “immediate uptick in concerns about safety” in relation to the Peters case.
