Having been a teaching fellow I invested in new outfits to be smart, then grew a human so purchased new clothes, now they are all either too big or too small and don’t suit 😂

Do any other anaesthetic trainees struggle to wear smart clothes for the odd clinics we go too? *attempts not to buy entire new wardrobe*

At what point did councils start actively getting away with leaving pavements thick with ice. Out hospitals are already under pressure. It’s been long enough folk have to venture out for supplies

Family time with loved ones who live abroad is a great food for the soul, watching my daughter belly laugh with my brother put all the nonsense from this week in perspective.

7/ Having more model answers available and at no cost, the book has a limited number of older questions but that is it. More flexibility of location would be nice, Edinburgh would be a far smaller faff for me to attend. Every medical school could handle the exam without any issue

6/ There are several things that would make this process easier for trainees, early notice of day of the week we are to attend ( it cost £215 for a mediocre room and £150 for flights near the college due to proximity of notice for exam excluding fees of £700

5/ I’ll get there and I’ll be so proud to take her to my FRCA ceremony but this has put such a dampener on Christmas. I will come back and play the game of FRCA again.

4/ My daughter will continue to miss time with mummy with increasing knowledge that I’m AWOL, revising basic science again and again because life goes on and these exams are all consuming.

3/ I’ve consistently had great clinical feedback and consultants were rooting for me. It’s sucking really hard right now. I am frustrated, upset and disappointed this is happening.

2/? I attended a revision course, picked up some kind of chest infection and had 5 days of fever between the course and my exam. Felt crappy the day of my exam and did my best to miss it by one *****^ mark.

Post grad exams a 🧵 I missed my final viva for the second time but one mark. ONE MARK! I simply couldn’t have given anymore with this round, great feedback in the run up juggling a toddler marriage work and studying took its toll 1/?

#finalfrca prep for #soe a second time round is tough, add in an offshore husband and 2 year old and it is tough. Hopefully I’ll get it this time and look back and think this was okay. It’s not, it’s tiring and it’s frustrating but, it too shall pass. But I need a reminder it was hard
