Efforts to federate research infrastructures should not reinvent the wheel. ResearchEquals seeks to federate with the Fediverse instead. > By using ActivityPub to federate research publishing, the act of publishing becomes the act of distribution.

Writing isnβt about making yourself into a machine that produces text in the most efficient way. It involves fermenting ideas, taking diversions, letting things evolve, going for a walk and drinking tea. Maybe I can learn to enjoy & inhabit this process more by thinking about what itβs not. 2/2

We are making ResearchEquals safe by design β we now require manual approval of new accounts and can quarantine accounts upon suspicious activity. This is about actively caring for the space we seek to create, not gatekeeping. All genuine research practice remains welcome.
