The week ahead involves becoming another year older.. but the excitement of only working 3 days, and a trip to the tattooist overrides that.

Had a great day at the National Space Centre with my boys. Even learnt a thing or two!

Lazy afternoon

My carbon monoxide alarm has a fault and keeps beeping every minute. Battery isn’t removable/replaceable, and I can’t stop the beeping! Even submerging it in water isn’t helping 😂😩

As if those wankers at the Dartford crossing rejected my PCN appeal because I paid a couple of days late. Only had to pay another £2.50, but I’d proven to them that I’d already paid it!

Opened the skylight in the downstairs bathroom this morning and a spider fell down and nearly landed on me. Went to close it this evening and the same thing happened!

After yesterday’s all day meeting, I’m glad to be working from home today!

Turns out the pretty flowers in our garden are passion flowers, which grow passion fruit!! 😍

I’m a little bit in love with my courtesy car, it’s so nice to drive.

I hadn’t imagined that our holiday would finish with being rear-ended on the M11! Luckily there were no injuries, but my car doesn’t look good 😢 Luckily I was still able to drive it home (which is more than can be said for the other 2 cars that were involved).

I bought some new bedding the other day, and I think it’s inspired a new tattoo for me 😂

Brighton pride day 2

We’re going on holiday on Friday, and have a friend coming to stay at our house to look after the pets. I feel so unprepared. Lots needs doing around the house and garden before I can even think about packing!

In the car with kiddo, he’s singing jelly on a plate to himself.. Kiddo: “Oops, I nearly said a naughty word. Can I tell you what it was?” Me, thinking it couldn’t be that bad if you nearly said it whilst singing a kids song: “ok, just this once..” Kiddo: “fuck.” 😂😂

Clearly no one wants me to sleep tonight.. Within an hour of falling asleep I’ve got one of the cats screeching at me to let her out, then 10 mins later kiddo wakes up! Now I’m wide awake again 😡

Parkrun again this morning, even though I wasn’t feeling very energetic. Glad I went, as I managed a whole 1.5 minutes quicker than last week! 💪🏼💥
