Today was Watering the Succulent Sorority Day. All in all, it took me a couple of hours to water everything succulent and cacti-based (except the lithops because they prefer things to be even drier). The photo is of four of my newest succulents planted up and watered. #succulents

I flattened this cardboard box so I could put it in the recycling. GeoffreyCat did not agree with me, so it is now a cat bed…

Something that has made me happy is having the Snoopy background option on my smart watch. The first theatre show I remember is seeing Charlie Brown and Snoopy live, and I have always had a soft spot for Peanuts.

I do like my brain. A chilled Friday night I thought. A bit of YouTube and telly. So why at 10.30pm I had to sort through the kitchen cupboards to get rid of everything past its best before/use by date, I don’t know. On the plus side, I have more cupboard space.

If I am wide awake, I feel nothing, except a mild distain, for Labubus. If I am sleepy and doomscrolling and see one, then they are adorable.

I’ve made no secret that I am using Mounjaro to help me lose weight. Since the end of March, I have lost 28kg*. I have learnt to listen to my body and discovered what sated feels like. I am quite happy about it all. *At least a kilo or two is from when I shaved my legs for summer…

1. Getting into succulents and tropical plants has taught me a lot. Some plant genuses are just not for me. And that is fine. Haworthias I struggle with. They are fungus magnets in this house. Begonia rexes just slowly die, no matter what. On the flip side, the cane begonias are doing really well.

Well, that’s my big Sunday chore done. I have gone through my entire graphic novel collection to thin it out and find new homes for ones I don’t love enough to keep. And dust the shelves too 🤣

I have had a bit of a digital detox lately. Went away camping for a week with friends, really got into tropical houseplants, and continued to be stupidly in love with @darrentite.bsky.social. My first lithops. I am excited to see how they grow. I know to keep them very dry and in very well-drained soil. And in a lot of light too. I just love how they look like little cloven hooves. #succulents #lithops #livingstones

I have a collection of notebooks that could change and organise my life, if I used them. However most, if not all of them, fall into the too nice to use category. I was brave. I started one of the notebooks to keep track of my succulent sorority, what needs doing and their development.

I spent the afternoon repotting, doing maintenance and generally reorganising the succulent sorority. I am pleased with how things have turned out. #succulents #houseplants

Not discounting the need for change in the #NHS, but the way closing NHSE down was communicated was horrendous. Staffing changes being communicated by media - rather than directly to the people impacted first, and then a press release issued - was abhorrent and shows no respect or kindness.

I do have a soft spot for #Anonymous. Fight the fash!
