I like the starfruit to get just a little more ripe before picking them. I really believe If they get all the way to orange the taste is much sweeter than counter ripening. Also my miniature banana plant is blooming. 🌱🌴🌺⭐🍌

#loquat I have a problem. Everything I have read says I am supposed to trim loquat in the fall. It's blooming now,so that's not going to work for me. Guess I can trim the branches that didn't bloom? They were so tasty, there's no chance I want to miss out on them. 🌱🌿🌴

Starfruit are coming along. Had one super early one. Ate it with some ice cream and caramel syrup. Have to get the canning jars in order, it's almost starfruit jam time. I like to make mine with ginger and cinnamon and usually add blueberries or strawberry because it enhances the flavor. 🌴⭐🌱🍍🍦

Orchid just keeps on blooming. Found a centipede in the yard and an anole egg. Moved a plumeria to a new spot and it's going to bloom for the first time. Looks a lot like my yellow one so far, but smells differently. Will see tomorrow .🌺🌴🌱🐛🌿

Did you know that when squirrels whip their tails around it heats up? It's a defensive mechanism that's helpful for when they fight snakes. They are also resistant to some venoms just like their relatives the mongoose. 🌿🐿️ #squirrels

Do you have a plant that you can never grow because you will weed them 💯 of the time? For me it's Asters. They always end in me and a horrified face as I see the potting soil attached to my "weed". Then they don't like to be put back. I never learned. I have give up trying. I blame fleabane. 🌱

Pink salvia #bloomscrolling. My mom sent me these seeds she gathered for me. A billion came up and to the delight of the hummingbirds and the neighbors I have planted and shared a bunch with everyone.

Cannonball gourds. Every time it rains they plump out. They are pretty much the size of a softball right now. It's a good time to score them if I want a design on them, but I haven't decided if I want to. #gourds 🌱
