Ancestry/Parish Registers:: Reviewing a Family History, came across "tried to check burials 1900/1 at Wetherden, found note at Ipswich RO that 1900-75 register missing". Confirmed this is still situation. No Wetherden burials on Ancestry post 1900. Has this been resolved?

An unidentified young man, also by JW Clarke of Bury St E. Definitely dressed upto the nines with quite a spectacular knot in the tie - when I was at school I recall it was a trend to see how big a knot you could get, many years after this photo!! Anyone got a similar photo??

Two years ago I was given the FH effects of a friend who shared my KERRIDGE interest altho not related (as yet). I have finished going through all her files, card index, extracts & so forth, & will post some of her photos. All are Suffolk relevant, some are un-named though.

Chelmondiston registers survive from 1727 with comment "earlier registers destroyed by vandalising vicar" written by person starting new registers. Nat'l Index of Parish Registers Vol 7, Pt 1, by Anthony Wilcox (Suffolk) worth getting. Lists parishes/known ranges of registers etc

Turned my attention this evening to Suffolk Ancestry baptisms, having done the marriages. Of the first 6 Kerridge baptisms I looked at, 4 had wrong year, 1 had no year. Although 17th century, were easy to read Oh dear this is going to be a haul if that failure rate contnues
