I don't get a lot of reach here compared to FA or itch, but in regards to the anti-censorship movement regarding payment processors. I've reached out to several news orgs and content creators in hopes of having them cover the censorship wave that seems to only grow with each passing week.

Effectively ban all artwork and dissent made by people that they can't easily control, then make it so that only the LLMs they made can provide such services. It is just a blatant monopolization of culture.

This is absolutely insane. Banks and payment processors are putting more effort into debanking content creators for fictional content than they've ever put into cracking down on real actual harm. Make no mistake that the end goal of this is to be able to control art and speech alike.

Having been around for a while, one of the problems is that a lot of new sites that emerge also have a lack of professionalism among those that run them, leading to much the same issue while at the same time balkanizing communities further. I'm honestly unsure of how to really address that fully.

I don't think this site is run well enough, has enough engagement, or has enough users to even pretend its smart to imply in a mocking way that not posting here would hurt any but the site. Maybe rather than making witless retorts to random users the leadership should focus on competent management?

You know it isn't a great sign when the CEO of a social media company doesn't seem to understand how social media websites generally make money.

They literally mention education context as an exception in the excerpt they gave. It is in regards to sex toys - but the implication is that educational contexts are themselves an exception, no? Also, have to mention how oddly specific the first rule there is about VR.
