Y6, despite being a relatively newer title, would DEFINITELY benefit from a Kiwami approach. The game feels incredibly limited, compared to the rest of the series. Including the locked off portions of Kamurocho. Besides, the entire final act could use with a re-work.

Y5, however, is the first game in the series that REALLY wouldn't need that much of an adjustment. It was the blueprint behind what they modeled 0 and Kiwami 1, so it's already incredibly solid. If anything, maybe a Director's Cut could help smooth some of the rough patches mid-game.

Y4 is already a very solid game on it's own. However, a potential Kiwami 4 could fix some issues, like the whole Tanimura mess, finally giving him a proper actor and add more scenes to actually make him semi-likable. Also, a bit of an expansion on side content and Cabaret clubs.

So, a bit of a situation, after that announcement. They changed Hamazaki's actor. Which, if he were a normal character, wouldn't be much of a problem. However, he is rather important for the story of Yakuza 4. Could this indirectly hint at a Kiwami 4 down the line?

At the core of the Tojo Clan's story in 3 is Mine. One of the better characters introduced in that era, but whose development suffered immensely due to the pacing of the game. Adding an expansion directly focusing on his rise is a brilliant move!

To clarify on the story comment: The core story on Yakuza 3 about Kiryu and the orphanage is excellent and is the main heart of the game. However, the Tojo Clan side of the story is immensely undercooked. Half feels like a Greatest Hits compilation and the other half is missing a lot of punch.

Ok, I just caught up on the RGG Direct and hoooooooooooooly shit, they finally pushed the button!!!!!!!! Seriously, Yakuza 3 is fantastic, but the gameplay had been holding it back for ages. And with the expansion they're adding, it might fix the other issues it had with the story. This is awesome!

Seriously, it was beyond exhausting how much people were trying to shit on the game before it even got shown to anyone on press. Hell, it all came from a single scene on a trailer. And even if it were Soulslike....why is that a bad thing? Genre isn't as oversaturated as it was 10 years ago

"BUT IT'S A SOULSLIKE!" Uhm... ok, how so? "IT HAS STAMINA!" Right... what else? "IT HAS A DODGE BUTTON!" ok? Anything else? "LIGHT AND HEAVY ATTACKS!" ....does it feature communication with other players, death markers, losable currency or respawning enemies on rest? "N-no...but..SOULS"

REALLY enjoying Silent Hill f so far! It's scratching that SH and Ku-On itch perfectly. Plus, Ryukishi's writing can be felt throughout the entire thing. It's a damn good time so far. Also, the combat is excellent for a horror game!

While Konami were extraordinary shitheads to Kojima, the pettiness that have followed, particularly from Geoff Keighley, have done far more damage to Kojima's work than anything Konami ever did.

Very impressed with the OD teaser. THAT is what should've been our first contact with that game. Not Geoff beating a dead horse having Kojima come out to the PT door and having him announce that he's "working" and showing screaming faces on a black screen. THAT original teaser had killed my interest

Also, considering the biggest strength of Higurashi is its subtlety, that person has 0 clue what they're talking about. It takes AGES for Higurashi to start going crazy, and when it happens, it's always unexpected and catches you off guard.

It was not. Wrestlepalooza had only one good match. Nay, one FANTASTIC match, one serviceable return match, and the rest of the show was pure dog shit.

So, Wrestlepalooza. Starting from using a name that's been large and recognizable on the indies since the fall of ECW was already ill advised. Furthermore, using it as a weak excuse to cover for the future Saudi ownership of Wrestlemania is even worse. Only way this'd work is if the show was good.
