Update, it's going to be done in the ROM hack, Renegade Platinum. The upside is better availability, stat buffs, and type changes. The downside is all that applies to the enemies, and every battle is hard (like 12v12 on Spear Pillar). Still, I think it'll serve as a good test for me with Bug types.

Ruins is just so rewarding. Even with my 1 to 2 hour stints I feel like I get a lot of it and it's pretty much the only reason I completely swapped to new units now.

I said it before many, many times and I'll say it again. A modern remake of Phantasy Star 1 would go hard and would be fitting for the series 40th. We need to return to single player titles for this series and it's just easy AC Scratch bait for NGS or any sort of tie-in for free stuff in either.

It's still funny how Sonic is at its 35th anniversary but next year Phantasy Star turns 40.

Type 3 Raving Falcon is pretty interesting since it actually introduces good synergy with Celeste due to it gaining charge and it actually feels A LOT like using Light Wave on Etoile from PSO2. Pretty comfy for the enemies you don't really want to use Stork or Harrier against.

Hmm, with the PB Follow Ring, EX Styles, me still using Arche (for now), and even the occasional Techter, I could honestly stop using Fixa Orgsys. My PB generation at this point is way too much that it’s kinda at a loss unless there is content reducing generation but that’s few and far between.

Last thing on this really, I love how they recontextualised free fields in PSO2 with the map design, effectively each island with connected pieces effectively representing one of the "areas" within the field, and then putting Shraider's arena in the middle, very good touch

On the topic of Hellish Fall, I can realistically see its TAC going one way: Type 1: Silly craft for the uncharged version that removes the grab and becomes AoE with increased range Type 2: Reduced hits for activating charged Hellish Fall to 1 but reduced damage Type 3: Generic 10% Avenger craft

Though there aren't any Tech Arts for Wired Lances or Partisan, the Sword crafts are pretty interesting. Type 2 Cleave is genuinely pretty hilarious. Type 1 Cleave is questionable but I can admit there are times where a faster Cleave is something I wanted because it had that brief hang time.

On a similar note, this also means we likely won’t see a Crimson Realm again. Or at least not in the way we did before or with the same benefits. The entire big thing with it for me was that you get could Fortes for a casual Meseta grind while also grinding for other stuff but that’s… kind dead now.

Hmmm yeah even with giving the new face types a try my issue with then still exists where their default sculpt is still too baby faced and doesn’t have any real proportions like nose, lips, jaw. Great if you like making anime characters but I can’t since it feels weird in the game’s aesthetic for me
