Seems to me this article confirms what housing experts have been saying for a while. Even if the current situation eases slightly, we still need state intervention, particularly for first time buyers. More & more young people are having to live with parents or erode their savings on private rent

Quick analysis of The Times today: Wall to wall negative coverage of Labour’s budget. An editorial that tuts about lack of growth but takes no responsibility. And a double page ad to join Farage/Reform. Absolutely no analysis on how rightwing ideology - including Brexit - has been utterly ruinous.

What do they mean “land ‘identified and proven’ as a ‘viable location’ for sustainable housing”? Where’s the Local Plan and is this land identified for housing or not? I can’t believe the endless shilly-shallying in this country, about building homes for people!

As someone who lives in an affluent area I was somewhat surprised at the high profile of (lack of) public transport in this. I don’t drive so I’m considered at best an environmental eccentric and at worst a public transport nutcase.. sounds like I’m not alone.
