Cats, dog, guitars, books, cooking, the occasional video game. Depression is my jam. He/Him.

I actually woke up before my wife for once, so I fed the pets, walked the dog, and let her sleep in. I figure I can always take three naps today.

Interesting thing though: We have been replacing our TVs about once every 6 years. We spend almost exactly the same amount, around $900-1000, and every time the TV is bigger, better, or both.

Yay for a new TV! The old one was starting to fail. They just don't make TVs like they used to.

When we were renting this place, we put down like $2200 for security and last month's rent. The rental management company went under because of massive fraud, and we got exactly $100 back even after BUYING THE FUCKING HOUSE.

I love books as physical objects almost as much as I love reading them. I have what is probably a 16 foot stack of unread books... and when I'm done reading them at least half will be donated to help literacy charities, including the Dolly Parton one.

You can just share my video from me instead of sharing a screen recording of my video from a content farm account that isn’t on the scene btw.

I have thoughts about hate and how it relates to anger and how it relates to identity... and I think we're largely getting a lot of political bigotry not quite right? I'm just working through some ideas.

My wife is fun. We got a surprise cash windfall, so I have $200 to spend shopping tomorrow. My wife is not all fun. I have to spend all of the money tomorrow, in physical stores. No ordering stuff online.

Sometimes I miss living in a city, but then I hear the relative silence of my sleepy suburban neighborhood and I don't miss it at all.

The one thing that the show PEACEMAKER got 100% wrong is in the casting. Edward Furlong should have played young Robert Patrick. It would have been AMAZEBALLS!!!

I've never recorded music in a serious way, and the 14-16 hours it will take to download the software is a good reason why.

The thing you can always guarantee about purists is that they were raised in comfort, not struggle. When you come from nothing, you know opportunities for any improvement are rare and you take what you can get.

I'm just gonna throw this out there: SINNERS is the best film of 2025. There are other good and even great movies this year, and they can fight it out for the #2 position.

By respecting yourself and demanding your boundaries be respected and your needs met, you can heal yourself enough to stop resenting others' happiness, stop thinking "me first," stop living in selfish desperation.

My parents sent me $50 cash for my birthday, like I'm a small child. I broke it up into fives and keep it all in my car as "good karma cash" for anyone I see out and about who needs it more than me.

a critique i frequently make about social media is that there is a sense in which you only exist when you're saying something, which incentivizes saying something no matter what, no matter how well informed you are about the thing you're speaking on. i think this also applies to columnists.

I have the new Silent Hill game downloaded. Can't figure out the best time to start it besides after midnight and sitting on the floor so my headphones could reach. That's how I played the original Silent Hill a million years ago.
