Business owners: unions were the compromise for workers who felt taken advantage of by their workplace so they had a way to address grievances other than destroying property. You undermine unions and workers have to fall back on prior methods. It’s only a matter of time.

I’m all set up with a fully local, open source home automation voice assistant. “Okay Nabu” controls our lights and a few other electronics without ever sending any data outside my home network. Timers just need a physical button push to turn off, but hopefully an update soon to resolve.

You know that guy on the team that wants to be the “idea guy?” Never really does any practical work, just talks and spitballs vague ideas expecting the rest of the team to figure out how to implement them? That’s the c-suite. And they are just about as useful as the “idea guy” in a group.
