We don’t replace energy sources, we stack them. Wood → coal → oil → gas → renewables. Each new source adds to the total flow. The “displaced” fossil fuels don’t stay in the ground - they’re burned elsewhere (Jevons paradox). That’s why growth keeps driving emissions higher.. #overshoot #collapse
