as per a post a few days ago about nostalgia and popular culture, this movie — which was shot in 1982 — gives you a glimpse of what life was actually like for the working poor in the early 80s.

this movie is among other things a pretty stark portrait of urban inequality

The math isn't mathing here. Epstein was confirmed in 2023 to have sent Nassar a card just before he died, which card was returned undelivered. Now DOJ, following a *120-minute investigation*, says someone knew about the letter *at the time* and replaced it with a forgery. WTF?

If the FBI doing a handwriting analysis but not releasing it—and conducting a full probe in *120 minutes*—wasn't enough to convince you BS is afoot, here's the 2023 report confirming an Epstein-Nasser Note exists. So where's the real one, if this is fake?

FBI/DOJ—for these purposes just two Trump personal lawyers—provide only 3 reasons for calling the note fake. The latter two aren't suspicious if you know how prison works and mail works generally. The first is *speculation* in the face of a *buried* formal handwriting analysis.

If you're still confused about the fraud being perpetrated on us all today, let's simplify it: 1) DOJ/FBI investigations on subjects this important don't take 120 minutes. 2) Final findings don't use the verb "appear to" if the evidence has been subject to professional analysis.

And how did the DOJ/FBI exclude the possibility—in just 120 minutes!—that Epstein dictated this note to a third party? He was interacting with other inmates, guards, his lawyers, paralegals, assistants, both in lockup, in visiting rooms and by phone. How was dictation excluded here?

And if you think dictation unlikely, you haven't visited clients in jails like I have (hundreds of times). Epstein had just had a suicide attempt; he was likely *not allowed to have a pen on his own*, as he could kill himself with it (neck wound). So he likely *had* to dictate some or all letters.

UPDATE: CNN confirms that "the envelope [holding the Epstein-Nassar Note] was sent from the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City [where Epstein was being held] to Nassar"—*and* got vetted by federal officials. Which explains the Virginia postmark (where the FBI is).

So (1) Why won’t the FBI release the 2020 handwriting analysis it did, if that analysis concluded the note was a forgery? (2) How did the FBI preclude the possibility—even *likelihood*—of dictation in 120 minutes? (3) Where’s the *real* Epstein-Nassar note we *know* Epstein sent?

On a separate but related note, I'm astonished at how many folks I thought smart bought the Trump FBI/DOJ explanation of all this instantly—despite none of it making sense. You realize these are just Trump personal lawyers with no ethics or fear of repercussion, right? Why are you kowtowing to them?

This is a great new OSINT thread—alas, on Twitter—with my sole source of disagreement being that Epstein (a poor speller who often dictated correspondence) had *many* people besides Reid (his lawyer) he could have dictated the note to. So we cannot exclude dictation yet. x.com/adamscochran...

(PS) And BTW, re: “he wouldn't dictate a note referencing suicide,” the “short route home” is just as likely a reference to *being in jail*—where you’re always home, and even when you get to walk or exercise in GenPop, it’s a “short route home [to your cell]”—as it is to suicide.

(PS2) In the event—likelihood—Epstein dictated this like much of his correspondence, it’d explain the non-Epstein handwriting and use of an evasive euphemism that possibly references suicide. At the time no one really believed he’d kill himself, and that would include the person he was dictating to.

(PS3) But an ex-federal investigator like me must always return to Occam. There’s simply no way—given that we know Epstein *did* sent a note to Nassar that week—that someone *outside* the jail knew that and was able to contemporaneously replace the real note with a fake. No way.

(PS4) So what we have here is Trump lawyers we know only care about trying to protect him (1) hiding a handwriting analysis, (2) doing a fake 120-minute investigation, (3) producing a final analysis that’s *actually* a wild conspiracy theory, and...corporate media buying it 100%.
